India’s national politics churning towards Third/Federal Front
Dew to new political situation
developed at national and regional level,some regional leaders of regional
parties ruling in some parts of India like in Bihar state chief minister Nitish
Kumar who is also main leader of Janata Dal United known as JD-U and West
Bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee who is also chief of Trinmul Congress
known as TMC met at Kolkata by Nitish Kumar special political envoy to form the
federal front against BJP and Congress political combine at national level for
coming general elections.After some time chief minister of Orissa Naveen
Patnaik also came to this new federal front and even from south India Telegu
Desam Party leader Chandra Babu Naidu also willing to take part in this new
federal front.This new federal front will make political pressure grop and
separate group to get special economic package for their respective states from
th e ruling UPA government at center led by Prime minister Manmohan singh but
he did not act without word from UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.This is the new
political situation came on the indian political platform before coming general
elections in coming year 2014.But the political ambitions of these regional
leaders also clash for prime ministerial candidate when the situation will
arise to get plum post of prime minister at New Delhi.Because this federal
front cannot come in majority on its own political power so it will support and
seek political and economic package for their respective states and plum posts
of cabinet ministers in the union
cabinet when new union government will be formed next year.This new political
platform came against the rise of firebrand leader of BJP and chief minister of
Gujarat Narendra Modi who is new chief of main campaign committee of the BJP
announced recently at Goa national executive of BJP party.After this
elevation,alliance of BJP and JDU had been broken in Bihar due to political
rise of Narendra Modi at national level against this regional ally in Bihar who
did not like Modi elevation at national level.Nitish Kumar also looking for
some new alliance with Congress also to seek special status for Bihar before
the general elctions next year.But he will fight election alone and campaign
with his federal front allies in Bihar because his party limited to Bihar
only.But Nitish Kumar is looking for more and more LokSabha seats in Bihar so
he can ask for more plum posts at union cabinet and ask for more economic
package for backward state Bihar.Although he claiming for good development for
Bihar state but lakhs of young youths go for employment to Maharashtra and
Gujarat and Punjab.
Nitish Kumar who is also chief
minister of Bihar and backward leader also looking for muslim votebank in
coming general elections so he had broken alliance with BJP before general
elections and he is very much political ambitious leader and also willing to
grab prime ministerial post sometime at center also with help of any national
party if Congress did not come to power or did not get good seats in
LokSabha.Congress would like to give prime minister post for such regional ally
who can dictate its party agenda and attack and damage BJP at national
level.This is all Congress I politcal gameplan before general election and
Congress I wants to grab power at center by hook or crook.On the other
hand,Mamata Banerjee not willing to support Congress I again at center if situation arises because
Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan singh did not given single rupee help for West Bengal
since she was asking for economic package for West Bengal when her party TMC
was in union cabinet and after many years pleading for economic aid for West Bengal
she taken back all her ministers from the Manmohan singh government because she
is not greedy for power and she is an honest lady politician and no political
leader can match her honesty and devotion for her state.Due to her political
compulsions at national level Mamata Banerjee and Nitish Kumar also marching
ahead for new federal front and may form as political pressure group against
ruling Congress government and by this new political front against BJP and
Congress,ruling Congress combine may give economic package for West Bengal
also.Because Bihar state already got huge economic package ahead of
presidential elections to get support of Niitsh Kumar party,JDU for Pranab
Mukherjee who is now President of India then he was candidate of Congress
party.Nitish Kumar got huge economic package for support to Congress party
candidate for President post and even Mulayam singh Yadav got huge economic
package for Uttar Pradesh state also supporting for Congress candidate Pranab
Mukherjee.But Mamata Banerjee did not get anything when she was ally of UPA
also but she did not support Congress candidate for Presidential
elections.Mamata supported lastly to Congress candidate but did not any reward
for support for Congress candidate.In this way,there was change of mood for
Mamata Banerjee and she gone out of UPA govt and taken back support also from
UPA govt.Now she is alone at national level,therefore she is floatiing this
federal front concept against BJP and Congress I at national level.Because no
regional ally will support Congress without getting any economic package and
plum posts inside the union cabinet if any national party will ask for their
federal front support.Because there will be three regional parties in this
federal front in the beginning such as JDU from Bihar,TMC from West Bengal and
Biju Janata Dal-BJD from Orissa.Later on more regional party may come due to
their political compulsions.But Mamata Banerjee will not work or will include
Mulayam singh led SP party and even communist party like CPI and CPI-M who are
great opponent of her party in West Bengal.Political observer based in Bihar
and Kolkata indicated that such type of political alliance may damage prospects
of BJP and Congress I for coming general elections.Because in Bihar,Congress I
had no more presence and in West Bengal and Orissa Congress I also had no
impression in public.Only BJP will fight political way in Bihar against JDU and
will get little in West Bengal.But in Orissa,BJP will come back due to poor
governance by BJD government in Orissa.
One political scientist Madhukar
Upadhyaya based in New Delhi also pointed out that there will be no majority
for Congress I or BJP also at national level in coming general elctions.Because
such regional parties will damage prospects of Congress I and BJP because these
regional parties had much influence in these states since many years.Now
federal front looking for more political partner in this fold and new one may
come like Babu Lal Marandi led –Jharkhand Vikas Morcha and some more smaller
parties may come from north east of India due to Mamata Banerjee influence
there in north east of India.On the other hand,left parties want other left
front in which there will be Mulayam singh Yadav chief of Samajwadi party who
is ruling in Uttar Pradesh-UP state largest state in north India where Congress
I and BJP are much weak than SP and BSP.In this hindi heartland state UP where
two regional parties are much stronger than BJP and Congress when they are
national level parties but dew to caste based politics in this state since many
years BJP and Congress are not getting much Lok Sabha or assembly seats since
many elections.Now Gujarat chief minister Modi had appointed special political
envoy Amit Shah for this weak state for BJP for coming general elctions.Modi
will also campaign pan-India level and he already started from Pathankot border
district of Punjab and now in Mumbai today where he is meeting with BJP cadres
in Maharashtra.Modi had planned very long political plan and policies for
coming general elections and he will also get support of Baba Ramdev who is
popular Yoga Guru in India and had millions and million hardcore cadres at pan
India level also supporting for Modi victory for coming general elections for
BJP.If Modi is strong political planner also do everything with full proof
planning with high profile PR also for their political plans for coming general
elections.RSS is also supporting Modi with all its pan-India level devoted
cadres for BJP victory for coming general elections.On the other hand,federal
front is full of political amibitious regional leaders and may see political
conflict and political interest also for their regional political
aspirations.So success for such federal front is not much more on cards.Left
parties also trying to make a national level plantform for national level
political alternative against BJP and Congress.But Left parties always
supported Congress led government at center at many times for their political
benefit and also bargain tough and shown tough stand on the issue of nuclear
agreement with US in many years ago and withdrawn support from UPA-one
government when Manmohan singh shown that it his personal agenda for nuclear
deal with US.
New Delhi based political
observer Ajay Kumar also indicated that BJP may get minor majority if Modi
political campaign played well at pan-India level because people are angry with
UPA government at center due to bad economic policies and everyday price is
rising for common fruits,grains,vegetables,fuel and cooking gas,transportation,even
corruption is also worried for common people because no one can do work without
bribe at any government office.Many social activist also playing huge
demonstration against UPA government like AAM Adami Party-AAP led by Arvind
Kejriwal who are playing huge role against Delhi chief minister Shiela Dixit
who is taking huge bribe from power generating companies to raise power tariffs
time to time.This small party AAP is fighting against Delhi chief minister in
Delhi and its party convener Arvind Kejriwal will against Sheila Dixit also for
coming assembly election in November this year.BJP and Congress I also facing
political challenge from such regional parties in various states where these
regional parties are ruling like in Bihar,West Bengal,Orissa,Tamilnadu and
Jharkhand state.BJP and Congress are worried with such new federal front at
national level.Federal front may play role of king maker for next union
government at center.For making union government at center majority come by 272
seats in Lok Sabha.No national party may come with this magic number like BJP
or Congress and they look for support for such regional parties also.On the
issue of Prime minister candidate,such regional party may not like Narendra
Modi from the BJP side.If BJP come with more than 200 seats in coming general
election in 2014 then such parties had to accept Modi at any way.BJP mother
organisation RSS also given green signal for Modi name for coming general
election and he may also become Prime minister of India if BJP come with more
than 200 Loksabha seats on its own way.Now BJP who is also running national
democratic alliance-NDA had only two political partner like Akali Dal from
Punjab and Shiv sena from Maharashtra.Now BJP is looking for more ally before
the LokSabha elections or post alliance.Because Congress game plan is going on
with Nitish Kumar only and Mayawati of BSP and Mulayam singh of SP from UP
state who are also regional parties may support Congress led govt to prevent
BJP to form the next national level government at center.Another political
activist based in New Delhi also says that Congress will face anti-incumbency
factor also in coming general elections and may lose power also due to
corruption scandals came out in public and lot of investigations going on and even
Manmohan singh also go to jail if Congess lose power because he is invlove in
coal block allocation scandal which investigation going on and action taken
report going to Supreme court of India time time.Manmohan singh was coal
minister then also when such coal block were allocated to various coal and
power generation companies run by private sector and even one powerful
businessman from Congress I Naveen Jindal who runs Jindal steel company got
various coal blocks by paying bribes also and some were sold also to earn huge
profits on spot.
However,Manmohan singh had run
UPA-2 government since four years but came huge corruptions case in public and
many more even resign also like railway minister Pawan Bansal family member
were involved in bribe scandals for awarding plum posts at railway board to
general manager of western railway.Such type of open bribe scandal also came in
public and many more ally ministers also gone to jail like A Raja who was then
communication minister and taken huge bribe from telecom companies for awarding
spectrum allocation and government of India faced huge lost of revenue by this
bribe scandal and favouring of particular telecom company.Now Congress also
facing corruption cases its own dismissed railway minister and looking for
revival from this corruption wave and want to show its clean image before the
common man.But common man is not happy with this corrupt government and even
wrong allocation of financial budget to corrupt social schems going on towards
rural areas where million and million rupees had been looted by local congress
leaders village leaders.Common did not get single rupee in this social
development.Even federal front allies like JDU leader Nitish Kumar also
claiming for huge development in backward state of Bihar but no real
development seen at ground level and here also crores and crores rupees had
been looted by JDU leaders and ministers and government senior officers.But
Nitish kumar only showing clean face in media but his junior ministers looting
huge public fund and doing private business in other state and even in foreign
countries like in Singapore,Thailand and Hongkong.Bihar and UP state getting
crore and crore rupees central fund for the development of state but no
development going on on the ground and whole money going into the pocket of
ministers and senior officers in Bihar and UP state.Such type of regional
leaders like Mayawati and Mulayam singh supporting dew to fear of Central
Bureau of Investigation –CBI againt such leaders because they earn huge illegal
money via their governments and contractors.Now such regional leaders from UP
state giving support to Manmohan singh government at center due to fear of such
investigation agency-CBI which is always used by central government against
their political opponents at regional or national level to get their suppport
to run the smooth government without any disturbances to the regime.
For the third front or federal
front there is argument given that leaders from such regional parties had huge
administrative experiences like to Mulayam singh,Maywati,Mamata Banerjee,Naveen
Patnaik and Chandra Bau Naidu also had been chief ministers of their states
many times and some had been central minister also like Mulayam singh Yadav who
was defence minister also when third front government was in New Delhi many
years back.On the central level political only BJP and Congress are only
national level parties and take up the national and foreign affairs issue in
parliament and even on national and international media.Due to smaller regional
parties such national parties are ruling at central level since many years but
now India’s national politics is churning and regional parties are taking new
role to get their role to national level bypassing national level parties but it
will take much time to take over at central level by regional parties.These
regional leaders also talking with other regional leaders like Mulayam singh of
SP from UP state,Jayalalitha of AIADMK from Tamilnadu who is also chief
minister of Tamilnadu.After some there will be national level meeting by these
regional leaders at New Delhi.There are some regional leaders who look for
Prime minister portfolio in coming years like Mulayam singh and Nitish Kumar
but there are personal ego clash also for their political ambitions when
situation come for PM candidate for such regional leaders and even such type of
regional leaders led national level government will not fulfill its full term
also due to personal conflict and personal ego also.State governments of Bihar,West
Bengal,Orissa,Tamilnadu states leaders did not present any new social-economic
model presented before the people.However,such leaders adopt only populism
models to attract urban and rural voters.On the Gujarat chief minister also got
support from corporate lobby of Gujarat and Maharashtra and pan-India level
also he got corporate support for his development model but for common people
there is nothing exist there.Such type of development model only for corporate
houses not for common people.Such corporate houses are funding also Modi
political campaign at pan-India level also.Corporate houses lobby campaign did
not give much attention for common people and only take steps for corporate
houses economic benefits.So common people will be angry also in coming time and
they also vote against such devlopment based leaders who advocate for only
corporate houses.
